Po čem muži touží is a comedy about Karel Král (Jiří Langmajer), a charismatic cynic, a bit of a chauvinist and a sarcastic charmer women find irresistible, who edits Playboy magazine. Then his carefree life takes several blows at once. He is fired over a string of blunders and falling sales, his ex-wife and daughter (Andrea Hoffmannová and Sara Sandeva) are at odds with him again, a woman driver crashes into his car, and his job goes to Leona (Táňa Pauhofová), a young and attractive new editor. Karel deals with it the way men do: he gets drunk with his best friend Čestmír (Matěj Hádek) and, in the course of a wild night, wishes he were a woman, because as he sees it women have it much easier. The next morning, thanks to the night’s bender and a little help from the fortune teller Zoltana (Pavla Tomicová), he wakes up as a woman (Anna Polívková), though only on the outside. As Karla, he has to get used not just to a new look but to living in a woman’s body, and find out whether women really do have it easier.
