Love Is Love (Láska je láska) is a comedy about people who, whatever fate throws at them, long for a life filled with real love. Eighteen-year-old Maruška (Aneta Krejčíková), who is blind and lives with her grandfather Vlastimil (Petr Nárožný), dreams of meeting her prince and living a great romance. Her grandfather learns that true love can blossom at any age when he meets his long-lost love Libuška (Eliška Balzerová), and the two behave like lovesick teenagers. Maruška’s friend Honza (Petr Vančura) has fallen in love too, with his teacher, a young man. That does not suit his domineering mother Zdena (Simona Stašová), a successful manager, who decides to put a stop to it. At least Honza’s dad Karel (Ondřej Vetchý), a former league footballer who now looks after the stadium, understands him. As all their lives unexpectedly intertwine, the result is a string of funny, absurd, tricky and touching situations, seasoned with gentle irony. Just as in real life.
