Modern Father’s Diary (Deníček moderního fotra) is a comedy about what happens when life throws you into a situation you never saw coming and you have to deal with it like a man. Nataša and Dominik become parents unexpectedly. Nataša, a successful toy designer, is better placed to support the family, so they agree that Dominik will stay at home with their newborn son. He takes on the job with the naive idea that it will finally give him time to write the book he has been planning for years. He could not be more wrong. It takes all Dominik’s ingenuity just to get little Čeněk through his first year, and at times it feels like a fight for survival. But living with the little one also shows him how many forms love can take.
